Grapefruit and Drug Interactions: What you need to know. PDF

GEORGE CHRISTAINSEN As owner of Clinic Pharmacy of West Salem, I personally welcome you to our pharmacy practice. Health care services come in many forms. One of them is your family pharmacy. We at the Clinic Pharmacy of West Salem provide the time and the caring that you and your family deserve. Our professional and compassionate staff prefers to prepare and dispense your medications in an accurate and friendly environment instead of a "conveyor belt pharmacy" setting. We emphasize providing you time to: inform you about your prescription and over-the-counter medications, listen to questions you may have about those medications, and then answer those questions to best fit your needs.

An example of the experiences to which patients of the Clinic Pharmacy of West Salem have been accustomed is the pharmacist assisting patients and prescriber in choosing a generic alternative, if one is appropriate. As consumers of health care, you have the right to verbal information about your medications. Anyone can access the Internet and acquire printed information. We on the other hand, pride ourselves on our commitment to friendly, personal service and professional face-to-face consultation. Our goal is to improve your health. Given the opportunity to earn your trust, we feel privileged to become part of your health care team. Many marketers of health care today portray prescription medications as nothing more than "pills in a bottle". Not at this pharmacy. Pharmaceutical care does NOT come in a bottle. It comes from the pharmacists at the Clinic Pharmacy of West Salem.

FEATURE ARTICLE: Frostbite...

Frostbite occurs when skin and the tissue underneath it literally freeze as a result of exposure to extreme cold. In the first stage of frostbite, sometimes referred to as frostnip, the skin is numb and white, but no permanent tissue damage occurs once the area is thawed. If the skin and tissue continue to be exposed to cold temperatures after this initial stage, the blood vessels in the skin constrict and blood stops flowing through the tissue.
